ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS:

Our field school is open to students who are committed to making a difference through applied research and conservation efforts. To join us, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Background:

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to environmental science, biology, anthropology, cultural studies, or a related field.

    • Recent graduates with relevant degrees are also welcome to apply.

  2. Passion for Conservation and Culture:

    • Demonstrated interest in nature conservation and cultural preservation.

    • Willingness to engage with local communities and respect their traditions and knowledge.

  3. Skills and Experience:

    • Basic understanding of research methodologies and fieldwork.

    • Prior experience in field research, community engagement, or conservation projects is a plus.

  4. Commitment:

    • Ability to commit to the full duration of the field school program.

    • Willingness to participate actively in all activities, including research projects, community outreach, and conservation efforts.

  5. Personal Attributes:

    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

    • Adaptability and resilience in various field conditions.

We seek partners who share our vision of fostering conservation and cultural preservation through collaborative research. If you represent an organization or institution interested in partnering with us, please review the following criteria:

  1. Shared Goals:

    • Alignment with our mission of nature conservation, cultural preservation, and community engagement.

    • Commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

  2. Expertise and Resources:

    • Proven track record in research, conservation, or community development projects.

    • Availability of resources and expertise that can contribute to our projects.

  3. Collaboration Potential:

    • Willingness to engage in mutually beneficial partnerships.

    • Openness to sharing knowledge, skills, and resources.

  4. Community Engagement:

    • Commitment to working respectfully with local communities and honoring their knowledge and traditions.

    • Experience in community-based projects is highly valued.

  5. Support and Sponsorship:

    • Ability to provide financial or in-kind support for research projects and field activities.

    • Interest in co-developing proposals for funding and grants.

Project idea and Proposal Process for New Projects.

We welcome scholars who are affiliated with an academic institution and independent researchers, fieldworkers and filmmakers. We also accept applications from recently graduated Ph. D.s and those who do not (yet) have an affiliation. We provide recent graduates with the possibility to continue field research and to gain experience in directing a field project under the mentorship of our organization members and the Academic Board of their institution.
